Boilers / Plate Heat Exchangers

  • The average lifespan of a commercial boiler is around 15-25 years depending on the type, usage and how well it’s maintained. Regular servicing can help extend its life.

  • A warranty is typically between 3 -10 years (this is often extended with commissioning)
  • Boilers and water heaters are essentially the same.
  • Boilers are used for both space heating and domestic hot water through a combination of tanks and plate heat exchangers.
  • Water heaters are the same however the materials used are non-ferrous so the water remains potable.
  • They have the exact same specifications, the R0000 is a wall-mounted boiler and the R1000 is a floor standing boiler.

  • The cost of servicing a commercial boiler varies depending on the size and complexity of the system, however, annual services typically range from £750 upwards (plus more if additional work is required).

  • Key areas to check include gas pressure, flue system condition, heat exchanger, burner operation, electrical connections, water quality and the boiler’s overall performance.

  • For non-stocked and rare components lead time is approximately one week. 
  • Full boiler model name, serial number and the specific part you require, or the problem you’re experiencing.
  • No, we do not offer full servicing kits; however, we can provide a detailed quote for the individual parts required to service your boiler.
  • Yes, we can assist in diagnosing and resolving issues when an error code is displayed.
  • We supply parts for all commercial Stokvis, Rendamax, Elco and Ariston units.
